Jason and I managed to make it work so that we would have time off from Saturday morning until Thursday Morning. So Saturday morning we (well I) drove over Mt. Hood to Bend. The girls were amazing travelers, Addison slept the first nearly 2 hours, Hannah watched a movie and we just had a nice drive, with a few "Why" questions thrown in there for fun.
We spent Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tue morning at Eagle Crest Resort with my parents-
What a great time we had. The girls were amazing for the most part, we had fun and went exploring and had adventures. Here's a few highlights.
Jason took this photo off the deck of the condo- we saw probably about 8 deer that morning. We saw them a couple of times, was kinda cool. Hannah found lots of deer poop at the park, as they had bedded down in the grass at the park.
Feeding the geese off the deck. Addy and Daddy watching.
I love this photo. Grammy's watching on as the girls are playing on the window seat. I believe that Hannah was still checking out the geese out the window.
More geese feeding.
Addy and Daddy- I can't tell if Addison was screaming or laughing, she makes similar faces for both!
Hannah with the Golf course as a back drop. We went for a morning walk on Tuesday before getting in the van to head back home. It was quiet, the resort had limited visitors, we hardly saw anyone else out on our walk. And mom informed me that the Golf Course was closed for the winter, so it was mostly animals we saw out there!
Go to Grammy!
Grammy teaching Addison how to sweep up the floor.
Hannah, despite our warnings, wanted to walk all over the ice at the High Desert Museum.
Walking the trails at the High Desert Museum- yup, Hannah was running!
Park time. Hannah pushes Henry and Grammy pushes Addison.
Hannah goes for a ride with Papa Dan. What a great adventure for her. She rode with all of us on small rides, she loves it!
Sledding with Grammy.
We had a sledding hill issue. There was a very steep, icy, slippery hill. I was going to take Hannah with me on a ride. Well when I sat down on the sled I couldn't stop it from sliding, and I left Hannah standing in the middle of the mountain- OOPS! She wasn't thrilled about that.
So we went and found a smaller hill- she was scared of going on her own, so Jason held onto the rope and let her slid down and then would pull her back up the hill.
Overall the family adventure was a lot of fun. I am so glad that we went and enjoyed some time with my parents and kiddos. Its amazing to watch both Hannah and Addison follow Grammy around. They both certainly are Grammy girls.
J.
