Our house closed on Friday 6/7/2013.
Here are some sneak peeks, these are all done by my cell phone, I plan to take my camera to the house tomorrow while we have a work party- There will be more photos to share then. Our home is a 1380 sq. feet, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom's (officially, the garage conversion that is currently in place will be coming out).
Let me tell you what I am so excited about:
- Addison will have a room of her own and will not be sleeping in the dining room any more!
- Back yard for play time for the girls, BBQ's, hanging out laundry, gardening, picnics, family time etc.
- 2 bathrooms. . . there are currently 3 of us that use restrooms. . . and one who seems to be approaching potty training. Lets just say that 1 bathroom is not enough for us!
- Location of house (park nearby, Hannah's school nearby, stores etc, easy access to the freeway etc).
Without further ado. . . sneak peeks!
This is looking at the edge of the kitchen and dining room where they join. This is where the fridge now is.
I am standing at one end of the back yard (next to our storage shed), yes it needs some love, better believe we will have some great time working in the yard! The patio on the right side, is off of the kitchen.
I am standing in the kitchen looking out the sliding glass door- the girls are playing on the patio!
Patio shot. The swing will be going- It's not in great shape. There are several things that got left behind, the house was a bankruptcy, foreclosure, so things were left behind.
Also check out how much my babies have grown- Hannah and Addison are growing like weeds!
This is not a great photo- but it's me driving by taking a photo of the house- can you see it? LOL, look at all the large trees, provides great shade throughout the day.
Keep checking back- more house photos will be shared as I have them.
We plan to host a House Warming BBQ later this summer to share our new home with our friends and family.
We love the location, we are about 1/4 mile from Hannah's Elementary school (Kindergarten starts in September). I'm about 10 mins from work. We are about 1 mile from a Walmart, Walgreens. Maybe 2-3 from Winco and a variety of fast food/amenities. Our home is really only about 3-5 miles from our current home, but is in a more single resident neighborhood, no apartments near by! We are about 1-2 miles from our family/friends Joe and Brittany- meaning more play dates. And with a bigger house that means we have space to have people over! We have hated having people to our place because it's so cramped.
There are some minor fixes that need to be done on the home, seems that whoever owned it last let things go. But I'm excited. I have some great ideas about ways to make this home ours, and work for us and our young girls.
Hannah's excited, her room got it's first coat of paint today, so she was pretty excited to see the pink in her room. As well she loves that she can go on the back porch and play chalk! Not to mention the park that is across the street from us that will be a well used space! Our front yard is big enough that we could hang out on the front lawn and see the park (when the girls are older!).
Family beware. . . our home will definitely be put out there for birthday parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas! We are so excited to be in a house again. Even with out having moved in, and in it's dirty unpainted state if feels like home, and peaceful to us. It's been 5 years of apartment living and we are so DONE with that! My van was vandalized this last week in our apartment complex, and I'm so done with having children riding their scooters next to my van and throwing balls at the cars!
We have put in our notice to our apartment management and will be out of this place in less than 22 days! Yup I'm counting.
