Highlights from Mt. Bachelor weekend.

Jason and I managed to make it work so that we would have time off from Saturday morning until Thursday Morning. So Saturday morning we (well I) drove over Mt. Hood to Bend. The girls were amazing travelers, Addison slept the first nearly 2 hours, Hannah watched a movie and we just had a nice drive, with a few "Why" questions thrown in there for fun.

We spent Sat, Sun, Mon, and Tue morning at Eagle Crest Resort with my parents-
What a great time we had. The girls were amazing for the most part, we had fun and went exploring and had adventures. Here's a few highlights.

Jason took this photo off the deck of the condo- we saw probably about 8 deer that morning. We saw them a couple of times, was kinda cool. Hannah found lots of deer poop at the park, as they had bedded down in the grass at the park.

Feeding the geese off the deck. Addy and Daddy watching.

I love this photo. Grammy's watching on as the girls are playing on the window seat. I believe that Hannah was still checking out the geese out the window.

More geese feeding.

Addy and Daddy- I can't tell if Addison was screaming or laughing, she makes similar faces for both!

Hannah with the Golf course as a back drop. We went for a morning walk on Tuesday before getting in the van to head back home. It was quiet, the resort had limited visitors, we hardly saw anyone else out on our walk. And mom informed me that the Golf Course was closed for the winter, so it was mostly animals we saw out there!

Go to Grammy!

Grammy teaching Addison how to sweep up the floor.

Hannah, despite our warnings, wanted to walk all over the ice at the High Desert Museum.

Walking the trails at the High Desert Museum- yup, Hannah was running!

Park time. Hannah pushes Henry and Grammy pushes Addison.

Hannah goes for a ride with Papa Dan. What a great adventure for her. She rode with all of us on small rides, she loves it!

Sledding with Grammy.

We had a sledding hill issue. There was a very steep, icy, slippery hill. I was going to take Hannah with me on a ride. Well when I sat down on the sled I couldn't stop it from sliding, and I left Hannah standing in the middle of the mountain- OOPS! She wasn't thrilled about that.

So we went and found a smaller hill- she was scared of going on her own, so Jason held onto the rope and let her slid down and then would pull her back up the hill.

Overall the family adventure was a lot of fun. I am so glad that we went and enjoyed some time with my parents and kiddos. Its amazing to watch both Hannah and Addison follow Grammy around. They both certainly are Grammy girls.

Hannah Art work

So the amount of art work and papers that Hannah brings home from school is amazing. There are least 6 pieces of paper weekly- which translates into a lot of papers that I am not really sure what to do with, or where to store. So I had this great idea- I will photograph the art work, and at the end of her preschool year I will make her a book with all her art work that she can keep as a momento for later on in life.

Look at that name!

This was from when they were learning about community helpers, so a toolbox was made!

Love this one!

Love this one too- the spots are finger or thumb prints.

Again- check out that name, and numbers!

A recent fave, so beautiful!

A random picture that she created all on her own.

Hannah is so creative and loves the arts and crafts, so I am really excited about having come up with this idea- in that I can keep the photos for some time, without having to worry about the space needed for the art work- I'm going to be working on going through a box of art work that I have been saving and slowly get all of it photographed.

Hope you enjoyed the Hannah art work.

I must be crazy. . .

I have wanted to do a 5k for some time. I have always come up with a reason as to why I should not. This year, well I just got a little crazy and said, yup I'm gonna do it! So I registered tonight for The Color Run in Portland Oregon on September 7, 2013.

I plan to have Hannah run/walk with me, and to push Addy in her stroller (with rain fly to keep the color off of her). I figure that Hannah will think this is fun, and I need some motivation to get some more exercise and to have a reason to go practice walking with Hannah and Addy. In the end even if I need to end early due to Hannah's not being able to make the full 3 miles, it will be worth it.

So if any of my family or friends want to be crazy with me and join the walk- check it out:

Whisker Wars

Anyone else seen the TV show "Whisker Wars"?
It's a show about competitive beard  shows. It's kinda like a dog show, but the judging is all about beards and mustaches. Well Jason stumbled upon this show through Netflix, and we watched it. And well lets just say that Jason now has it in his mind to grow his beard for 2 years without shaving to see how long he can grow his own whiskers.

Here's Jason's Jan 2013 pic- lets see how long this grows!

It's funny cause a few have asked about and when would I "make him shave it." But you know what, I kinda like it. It doesn't bother me at all. If Jason likes it and wants to grow it, I support that. If he decides that he wants to shave it, I support that too.

Heres to whiskers-

Babies

Grandma Sauer, this post is for you! :)

Great Grandma bought Addison a baby for either her birthday or Christmas in December 2012. Both of the girls have attached themselves to this doll and I never know who is going to be carrying it around loving on it. It will sometimes be found in the baby stroller, sometimes in Hannah's bed, and sometimes it's being dragged around by Addison.

On this day I found Addison with the dolly. If you ask her to love the dolly she does this head nuzzle thing- it's adorable. The dress on the dolly is from an outfit Hannah got for Christmas that was a kid and doll thing, so Hannah actually has a matching nightgown.

Ahh, so adorable.
So Great Grandma, thank you for giving Addy a dolly that both of my girls are able to show loves to. They enjoy it greatly.
(And yes, I will get you prints of these photos, as soon as I place an order for prints).

Love, Jessy
