New year and new organization

Sorry for the delay in photos- I ran into that internet explorer does not work with blogger all of a sudden and I couldn't upload photos. So after downloading Google Chrome- I'm back on track! So I have some back blogging to do about the holidays, I'll get there!

Welcome to Hannah's new room-

A panoramic of her room- Yes, there is a couch/love seat in her room right now. Her dresser, bed and new addition- the large storage shelf. To hide/organize her toys.

She's reading to Addison.

Look how clean and organized that shelf is!

And just to show that the girls get along. Addison has been enjoying napping and playing on Hannah's bed.

Addison's crib and most of her toys are in the dining/living room. It's a bit of a change. But for the most part is working out okay. At least until Addison is not waking and crying in the middle of the night. She  needs some space where she can be left to put herself back to sleep in the middle of the night, so for now this works. It's weird- I admit. But what's a family to do?

Babies

Again- Phone photos. . . whice apparently are not great quality for blogging- but this will have to do for now. Tonight- I caught Addison, loving on her baby she got for Christmas from Great Gma Barb.
When I asked her to give her baby loves, she snuggled the baby to her chest. It's funny to start to see that Addison understands what we say to her, and she will follow some requests.

Addison has been more clumsy this week, and is rocking a couple big bumps and scratches on her face because she hasn't figure out putting her hands in front of her face. I am not sure why she's more clumsy, but she is.

Hannah is growing so quickly! I can't believe it. She has known how to write her own name for a few months, but this week I realized how close she is to being able to write her sisters name. I caught her writing and she had A-D-D-I-S on the paper and just needed help remembering O-N.

This last week Hannah was learning about the letter B at school. The whole week I have heard around the house "ba, ba, ball. ba, ba, baby." On and on and on- I can tell she's trying to figure out what words start with b, as I will hear her sound something out to see if it has a b. On the drive home from the store tonight I heard "co, co, coat nope not a b". She's really soaking up the letters and seems to enjoy learning about the letters at preschool.

Those are my babes!

Preparing for cold

We are getting ready for a family trip to the snow in the upcoming month. We plan on going for a couple of days. I have been updating the girls snow clothing as their has been some growing out of things happening in our house. So earlier this week I ordered thermals for Addison and snow pants for her too (she got a snow jacket for Christmas).
Tonight we found thermals for Hannah, and a face mask that I just couldn't pass up- I wanted to find something that would cover most of her face/neck/head that would allower to keep warm while we play- and this was perfect! I couldn't pass it up!
The girls have several hats and gloves to wear. The girls have boots- Thanks Grammy!
Now all that is left to do is take them to the snow and let them loose!

Outdoor adventures

Sometimes you just need to get out of the house. That is how we felt last weekend. Just needed to get out and do something while Daddy slept. So to the Oregon Zoo we went. I love having a membership. I don't feel bad if we just go for an hour or two. We bundled up in our snow coats, hats, mittens, blankets and rain boots and away we went.

The big hit- Baby Lily (Elephant born in November 2012). As well Hannah would tell you that seeing the Giraffes, Lions and Hippos were a hit. We were bummed to hear/see that the train is out of commission for a few more months while they finish the new Elephant enclosure. But that's all right we just walked around the zoo and had some fun girl time!

New Years Eve

Sorry, the photos are from my phone- I was being lazy!

New Years Eve- A Monday night. One where Jason was working- This is what my night looked like. Dinner with my 2 favorite girls. Both of which were feeling under the weather. I fixed a simple dinner, and we enjoyed a quiet night together.
I was sure to "Cheers" with Hannah, with Sparkling Apple Cider for a treat.
The girls were in bed by 8pm, and I was in bed by 8:30pm. Yes I did stay up and watch the ball drop, and took a midnight phone call from Jason. But it was a low key night, which was fine by me!

Here's to 2013!
I have faith that it is going to bring good things our way. Our family has been working hard to get a few things taken care of so our lives would less stressful. Jason and I have been making changes in our careers, that are finally paying off. Our home, though small, is a place where we feel comfortable and definately lived in. Our girls are growing so big, and it's amazing to see Hannah learning so much!
